Bihar Assistant Prosecution Officer Examination

Scheme of Examination

It is a three stage examination.

(a) Preliminary Examination

  • Objective type examination
  • About ¼ marks will be deducted for each wrong answer
  • Aspirants qualifying Preliminary Exam are called for Main Exam
(b) Mains (Written) Examination
  • Descriptive type examination
  • Those who qualify main exam are called for Interview
(c) Personality Test (Interview)

Paper 2: Law (150 Marks) (100 Questions) (Time 2 Hours)
  • Indian Penal Code, 1860
  • Indian Evidence Act, 1872
  • Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973
  • Questions related to fundamental knowledge of the Indian Constitution

  • Explosive Substances Act, 1908
  • Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961
  • Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988
  • The Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989
  • The Poxo Act, 2012
Personality Test (Interview)

The student qualifying the written examination will be called for interview. There will be 100 marks for interview.

Notification for Bihar APO Exam | Bihar Assistant Prosecution Officer (Mains) Competitive Exam (Advt. No. 39/2009)

Bihar Public Service Commission has issued the notification for Bihar Assistant Prosecution Officer (Mains) Competitive Examination (Advt. No. 39/2009).

Bihar Assistant Prosecution Officer (Preliminary) Competitive Examination (Advt. No. 39/2009) were held on 21.07.2012. On the basis of Preliminary Examination total 1514 candidates qualified for the Bihar Assistant Prosecution Officer (Mains) Competitive Examination.

The last date for application for Bihar Assistant Prosecution Officer (Mains) Competitive Examination is 21.12.2012.

Jammu & Kashmir District Judge Examination

Syllabus for Examination Under Rule 8(i) (a) Jammu and Kashmir Higher Judicial Service Rules, 2009

The Competitive Examination for appointment of District Judges by Direct Recruitment shall consist of:

(A) A Written Examination comprising of two papers of two hours duration each. Each paper shall carry 90 marks.
(B) Viva -Voce shall carry 20 marks.
  • There shall be two papers carrying 90 marks each.
  • The time for each paper will be of two hours.
  • Each paper shall comprise of three parts carrying equal number of questions.
  • The candidate shall have to attempt nine questions in each paper, three from each part.

(a) Essay- Precis writing
(b) Constitution of India and Jammu and Kashmir
(c) Legal Maxims
(d) Translation of passage in Urdu to English

Part - II
(a) Judgment writing on Civil Original and Civil Appellate side
(b) Laws relating to Partnerships, Contracts and Arbitrations, Jammu and Kashmir Transfer of Property Act 1977 (1920 A.D.), Jammu and Kashmir House and Shops Rent Control Act 1966, Jammu and Kashmir Agrarian Reforms Act 1976, Jammu and Kashmir Evacuees (Administration of Property) Act 2006, Jammu and Kashmir Alienation of Land Act 1966 (1938 A.D.) and Jammu and Kashmir Specific Relief Act 1977 (1920 A.D.)
(c) Law relating to compensation under Motor Vehicle Act 1988
(d) Laws relating to Marriages, Divorce and Succession governing Hindus, Muslims, Christians and Budhists in the State of Jammu and Kashmir

Part - III
(a) Jammu and Kashmir Code of Civil Procedure
(b) Laws relating to acquistion and requistion of immovable property in the State of Jammu and Kashmir
(c) Laws relating to Guardianship, Succession Certificate, Probate and Letters of Administration in the State of Jammu and Kashmir
(d) Laws relating to Eviction of unauthorized occupants from public premises under the Acts in force in the State of Jammu and Kashmir
