Age limit: Not exceeding 50 years
Minimum Educational Qualifications:
(A) (i) Master’s degree in Law (LLM) from a University established or incorporated by or under a Central Act; a Provincial Act or a State Act or any institution for higher education deemed to be a University by the Central Government or any other institution or foreign University approved by the Central Government; (ii) Should have been a member of State Judicial Service for a period of thirteen years; Or Should have held a post in the Legal Department of a State Government for thirteen years; Or Should have been a Central Government Servant who has had experience in Legal Affairs for thirteen years; Or Should have been a qualified legal practitioner who has practiced as such for thirteen years; Or Should have been a teacher of Law for thirteen years in a recognised Institution; Or Should have thirteen years’ experience of translation into Hindi of statutes, statutory rules and orders in Central Government or State Government; Or Should have thirteen years’ experience of drafting of statutes in Central / State Government; OR 
(B) (i) Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) from a University established or incorporated by or under a Central Act; a Provincial Act or a State Act or any institution for higher education deemed to be a University by the Central Government or any other institution or foreign University approved by the Central Government; (ii) Should have been a member of State Judicial Service for a period of fifteen years; Or Should have held a post in the Legal Department of a State Government for fifteen years; Or Should have been a Central Government Servant who has had experience in Legal Affairs for fifteen years; Or Should have been a qualified legal practitioner who has practiced as such for fifteen years; Or Should have been a teacher of Law for fifteen years in a recognised Institution; Or Should have fifteen years’ experience of translation into Hindi of statutes, statutory rules and orders in Central Government or State Government; Or Should have fifteen years’ experience of drafting of statutes in Central Government or State Government; and (iii) Passed Secondary School Examination or any higher Examination from a recognised board or university or Institution through Hindi medium or had offered Hindi as a subject in Secondary School Examination or any higher examination from a recognised board or university or any institution or foreign University approved by the Central Government.
