Syllabus

Jharkhand Assistant Public Prosecution Officer Examination

It is a two stage examination:

(1) Preliminary Exam (Objective Type)
(2) Main Exam (Written Type and Interviews/ Viva-voce)

Preliminary Examination

It consists of two papers:

Paper I- (100 Marks) (2 Hours)
General Knowledge (Consists of General Studies questions related to National & International events, Indian History, Geography, Indian Economy, Indian Politics and General Science. Also questions related to Modern Historical Facts, Geography, Economy & Culture of Jharkhand State)



Paper II- (200 Marks) (2 Hours)
  • Indian Penal Code
  • Criminal Procedure Code
  • Indian Evidence Act
  • Constitution of India
Main Examination (Written Examination)

Paper I- (100 Marks) (3 Hours)
General Hindi (Qualifying)

Paper II- (100 Marks) (3 Hours)
English (Qualifying)

Paper III- (100 Marks) (3 Hours)
Essay (Qualifying)

Paper IV- (100 Marks) (3 Hours)
General Studies

Paper V- (200 Marks) (3 Hours)
Evidence & Criminal Procedure

Paper VI- (200 Marks) (3 Hours)
Indian Penal Code

Paper VII- (200 Marks) (3 Hours)
Indian Constitutional Law

Paper VIII- (200 Marks) (3 Hours)
Criminal Minor Acts (GROUP 'A'- 80 Marks: Forest Act 1927, Arms Act 1959, Explosive Substance Act, 1908, Criminal Law Amendment Act 1908 + Unlawful Activities (Prevention Act, 1967), Motor Vehicle Act, 1988, Prevention of witch (Dain) Practices Act 1999; GROUP 'B'- 60 Marks: Electricity Act, 2003, Information Technology Act, 2000, Prevention of corruption Act 1988 + Bihar/ Jharkhand Prevention of specified corruption Act, 1983, Prevention of Food Adulteration Act, 1954; GROUP 'C'- 60 Marks: Essential Commodities Act, 1955, Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961, Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, Juvenile Justice Act, 2000 (Care and protection of Children) Act, 2000)

Personality Test (Interview) (50 Marks)

The suitability of the candidate shall be assessed with reference to his capacity, character, personality and physical fitness. The marks obtained in written exam will be added to that obtained in Personality Test to consider the place of the candidate.
